Moonrise is a totally unique property set in the exclusive community of Moonhole on the unspoiled Caribbean island of Bequia in the Grenadines. Set on a promontory at the southern tip of the island, the house was designed to fit into the natural environment and is built of stone throughout. The property is totally secluded and is only approximately two minutes from a private coral beach. It has magnificent panoramic sea views encompassing the neighbouring islands.
The property is located within a private community encompassing one end of the island, the area is very secluded, with houses built into a rocky steep ridge, open to the elements and to spectacular views. The refrigerators, stoves and irons are powered by propane gas, while solar panels generate power for the lighting and charging of portable devices.
Moonrise is about 160 feet above sea level, high enough to catch the trade winds, keeping the temperature pleasant and refreshing even during the summer months and minimising the presence of insects.
Moonrise has a spacious living and dining area and a large deck with great views of St. Vincent to the north and the islands of the Grenadines to the south. With an authentic whale-rib bar and a fully-equipped kitchen, the house could be purchased totally "turnkey" and comes with a full staff including a housekeeper & cook.
